Self-confident writer Tony Roberts and wife Tess Harper purchase a house made infamous by haunted activity but refuse to believe that it is inhabited by ghosts. Eerie manifestations bring the realization that supernatural phenomena still exist within the dwelling, as "The Demon" rises from a bottomless well in the basement.
