Series at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood

Thu, Mar 8, 2012 - Sun, Mar 11, 2012

Presented for your big-screen pleasure, is the work of the best comedic quartet in film history: the Marx Brothers! Included in our heartily hilarious series are MONKEY BUSINESS, A NIGHT AT THE OPERA, THE BIG STORE, A DAY AT THE RACES, ROOM SERVICE, ANIMAL CRACKERS, DUCK SOUP and THE COCOANUTS.

Because Marx Brothers movies were meant to be seen in theaters with an audience, their immaculate timing isn’t done justice when screened at home on DVD. Indulge in an all-you-can-laugh riot, and be sure to bring the whole family!

Wed, Mar 7, 2012 - Wed, Mar 28, 2012

Spend Wednesdays in March with Orson Welles in these films directed by and/or starring Orson Welles: TOUCH OF EVIL (in a gorgeous new digital presentation!), THE THIRD MAN, THE LADY FROM SHANGHAI, CONFIDENTIAL REPORT aka MR. ARKADIN and THE TRIAL.

Italian director Sergio Leone began his career with the sword-and-sandals opus COLOSSUS OF RHODES in 1961. In 1964, inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s YOJIMBO, Leone helmed A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, which starred then virtually unknown Clint Eastwood, followed by its sequel, FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, and the majestic conclusion of the trilogy, THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY. This month's retrospective also includes ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST and the tragicomic DUCK YOU SUCKER (aka A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE).
