One Week Engagement!

Fri, Dec 9, 2011 - Thu, Dec 15, 2011

In Julia Leigh’s visionary directorial debut SLEEPING BEAUTY, reckless college student Lucy (Emily Browning) accepts a job at a specialized brothel requiring its prostitutes to be drugged into slumber while impotent older men lie with them. A hypnotically bleak, nightmarishly kinky portrait of a young woman on the verge of sobering self-discovery, at once reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick’s EYES WIDE SHUT and Luis Bunuel’s BELLE DE JOUR. Screens for a weeklong run in the Spielberg Theatre.

See LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, VERTIGO, IT’S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD, LAST ACTION HERO, CLIFFHANGER, HOOK, PLAYTIME and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY in crisp, dazzling 70mm prints!
