Films include early gay drama DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS, Bertolt Brecht's KUHLE WAMPE and Alexander Kluge's new film THE YEAR 1929. Join us at noon for a reception in Spielberg lobby. This free program surveys the avant-garde side of Weimar cinema from Dadaist art to abstract experiments with animated shapes and colors to Walter Ruttmann’s landmark film BERLIN, SYMPHONY OF A GREAT CITY. Co-presented by the LA Phil and Los Angeles Filmforum.
