This revolutionary new documentary about meat, protein and strength follows the journey of former UFC fighter James Wilks. While researching the optimal diet for recovery after being sidelined by injury, he learned that, contrary to the perception that animal protein is necessary to build muscle and sustain energy levels, Roman gladiators ate little or no meat. That surprising discovery launched a five-year quest to discover the truth in nutrition, taking Wilks to four continents to meet with dozens of the world’s strongest, fastest and toughest athletes, as well as leading experts on athletics, nutrition and anthropology.
