Director Bob Fosse’s final film is based on the true story of Dorothy Stratten (Mariel Hemingway), a Vancouver high school senior romanced by local promoter/pimp Paul Snider (Eric Roberts, in a career-best performance). Groomed as a Playboy model, Stratten becomes Playmate of the Year and is poised for a mainstream film career - but possessive husband Snider can’t bear to see her succeed without him. Co-starring Cliff Robertson as Hugh Hefner and Carroll Baker (BABY DOLL) as Stratten’s mother.
