Michael Winner began his career in film as a critic while still a teenager; by the time he was in his 20s he was a writer, director, editor, and producer of acclaimed short films and television programs. He made his feature directorial debut in 1962 with the teen musical PLAY IT COOL and soon established himself as a jack-of-all-genres, with Westerns, crime films, dramas and comedies to his credit. He is perhaps best known for his multiple collaborations with actor Charles Bronson, including the genre changing DEATH WISH films, but the breadth of Winner's talent reaches far beyond filmmaking. A food critic for The Sunday Times with the column “Winner’s Dinners,” Winner is the author of books that range in subject from autobiography to dieting, and is also active in the live-performance arena with a one-man show titled “My Life in Movies and Other Places.”

Join us for a tribute to the diverse career of director Michael Winner, including screenings of THE NIGHTCOMERS, THE MECHANIC, SCORPIO, THE JOKERS and I’LL NEVER FORGET WHAT’S’ISNAME.

We are thrilled to welcome Michael Winner to the Egyptian and Aero Theatres!
