Charlton Heston Double Feature! In Person Guests!
PLANET OF THE APES / THE OMEGA MAN

In an exclusive interview with biographer Marc Eliot, writer Susan King looks at the legacy of Charlton Heston here.

Introduction by Fraser Heston and author Marc Eliot, who will sign his book, Charlton Heston: Hollywood's Last Icon, in the lobby at 4:30 PM.
PLANET OF THE APES
1968, 20th Century Fox, 119 min, USA, Dir: Franklin Schaffner

One of the greatest modern sci-fi films, a combination of apocalyptic action and evolutionary parable. Astronaut Charlton Heston finds himself stranded on a strangely familiar world dominated by highly intelligent gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans.

35 mm!

THE OMEGA MAN
1971, Warner Bros., 98 min, USA, Dir: Boris Sagal

Whiskey-drinking, WOODSTOCK-watching scientist Charlton Heston faces the possible extinction of mankind, while bug-eyed Anthony Zerbe and his legions of soul-brother vampires prowl the night, in this whacked-out adaptation of Richard Matheson’s classic novel I Am Legend. Here, Heston remade himself as an über-cool 1970s action star, who cruises the plague-ridden streets of L.A. in a convertible Mustang.
