Justifiably notorious, this oft-banned cult film is not for the squeamish! Rob Schmadtke (Bernd Daktari Lorenz) has the perfect job for a necrophiliac: cleaning up places where people have been killed. His girlfriend, Betty (Beatrice Manowski), has a similar fetish, and when Rob brings his work home with him one day, he has a rotting rival for her affections. Shot on a shoestring budget using Super 8 film, NEKROMANTIK has a home-movie feel that makes its story even more unsettling. In German with English subtitles.

As “Lipstick Killer” Lothar Schramm (Florian Koerner von Gustorf) lies dying, his life flashes before his eyes - and it’s pretty grim. A loner who drives a taxi, Schramm is attracted to a prostitute who lives next door but is unable to initiate a real relationship with her - and so works out his kinks on random victims. Bizarre and disturbing, with a sense of the mental anguish underlying the (sometimes quite graphic) violence. In German with English subtitles.
