2010, 73 min, USA, Dir: Jenner Furst, Daniel Levin

In this gonzo tone poem reminiscent of the films of John Cassavetes and Allan Moyle, merchant Billy (William Leroy) has 72 hours to pay his rent and save his star-crossed junk store, the Bowery, from extinction. The ramshackle tent of antiquities lures a troop of misfits, freaks and renegades who form a tableau of carnival pageantry, white lies and victimless crime in this fleeting glimpse of Downtown New York. A wonderful supporting cast featuring Janell Shirtcliff, Ashley Graham and Scott Dillin, highlighted by an unforgettable performance by Nicholas De Cegli. "This movie is f*&#ing real." - Abel Ferrara. "Oddly touching." - Jim Jarmusch. With music from Brian Jonestown Massacre, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Slowdance and A.R.E. Weapons.
