TULLY
2018, Focus Features, 95 min, USA, Dir: Jason Reitman

This new comedy from Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman (UP IN THE AIR) and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (JUNO) centers on Marlo (Academy Award winner Charlize Theron), a mother of three including a newborn. When Marlo is given a night nanny by her brother (Mark Duplass), she is initially hesitant to accept the extravagance but comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully (Mackenzie Davis).

YOUNG ADULT
2011, Paramount, 94 min, USA, Dir: Jason Reitman

JUNO director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody reteam for this biting comedy about Mavis Gary (Charlize Theron), who writes novels for young adults without fitting into either demographic. When she learns that old high school boyfriend Buddy (Patrick Wilson) and his wife (Elizabeth Reaser) just had a child, Mavis takes it as a cue to return to her Minnesota hometown and try to win the man back. Patton Oswalt is wonderful as the former classmate who tries to talk some sense into her.

PARADISE
2013, Image Entertainment, 86 min, USA, Dir: Diablo Cody

For her directorial debut, Diablo Cody offers a take on religious belief that’s unexpectedly warm but just as funny and quotable as her Oscar-winning script for JUNO. After conservative churchgoer Lamb Mannerheim (Julianne Hough) survives a plane crash, she decides life’s too short to box with God and heads for Sin City, where a bartender (Russell Brand) and a lounge singer (Octavia Spencer) introduce her to some of Las Vegas’ worldly pleasures. With Nick Offerman and Holly Hunter.
