On a Hawaiian vacation with her parents, Gidget finds a gang of lads vying for her affections, which starts a chain of romantic complications when her boyfriend from home, Moondoggie (James Darren), arrives. Perhaps the best of the GIDGET series, the film costars Carl Reiner, Peggy Cass and Eddie Foy Jr. as square-but-loving parents.
