DON’T TELL MOM THE BABYSITTER’S DEAD
1991, 102 min, United States, Dir: Stephen Herek

“Dishes are done, man!” Sue Ellen (Christina Applegate) and her siblings (including ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING’s Keith Coogan and HALLOWEEN 4’s Danielle Harris) are left with a particularly nasty babysitter when their mother goes to Austria for the summer. By divine intervention, the babysitter dies, leaving the kids free to enjoy their summer as they please - until they realize that all the money their mom left for them went with the now-deceased babysitter to the mortuary. Forced to support her family and save the summer, Sue Ellen lands a dream job at a fashion company by using a fictitious résumé. Now she must keep up the charade so no one at the company finds out who she really is and for that matter, that the babysitter is dead.

BILL & TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE
1989, Park Circus/MGM, 90 min, USA, Dir: Stephen Herek

In this cult comedy favorite, teen slackers Bill Preston (Alex Winter) and Ted Logan (Keanu Reeves) could fail their history class unless they get a good grade on their oral report. But the stakes are even higher for the future of humanity, so the duo are given a time-traveling phone booth (manned by George Carlin), which introduces them to such historical figures as Napoleon, Billy the Kid and Socrates.
