What paparazzi are to celebrities, Lou Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal, who dropped nearly 30 pounds for the role) is to crime and accident victims, racing through Los Angeles with a video camera for gory scenes he can sell to a local TV news producer (Rene Russo).
