Much like stop-motion animation studio LAIKA’s previous CORALINE, this adaptation of British children’s author Alan Snow’s Here Be Monsters! brightens an occasionally dark story with truly magical visuals. Orphaned boy Eggs (Isaac Hempstead Wright) lives below the town of Cheesebridge with subterranean scavengers the Boxtrolls - who have been targeted for extermination by the evil Archibald Snatcher (Ben Kingsley).
