Director Alan Rudolph beautifully re-creates 1920s Paris in this study of American artists abroad. A terrific ensemble, led by Keith Carradine as an art forger and Linda Fiorentino as his married ex-flame, brings the period to life, mixing fictional characters with real-life figures including Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein. With Genevieve Bujold, Wallace Shawn and John Lone.
