ABSURD
ROSSO SANGUE
1981, 90 min, Italy, Dir: Joe D'Amato

Borrowing heavily from HALLOWEEN, director Joe D’Amato unleashes a gut-spewing Greek boogeyman (screenwriter George Eastman) into suburban America for a gruesome saga of doomed nurses, butchered babysitters, biochemical clergy and some of the most insane splatter scenes in Italian gorehound history. Edmund Purdom (PIECES) and Annie Belle (HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK) co-star in this ultra-violent ”video nasty,” which was also released under such varied titles as THE GRIM REAPER 2, ZOMBIE 6, HORRIBLE and MONSTER HUNTER.
